BITC is a business-led charity focused on promoting responsible business practice. It's one of The Prince's Charities, a group of not-for-profit organisations of which The Prince of Wales is President.
It has a growing membership of over 850 companies and a further 10,700 companies engaged in our campaigns globally. Its members help to transform communities by tackling key social and environmental issues and in doing so, transform themselves.

Waste Watch
Waste Watch is a UK environmental charity with a mission to raise awareness around waste issues and to encourage waste reduction, reuse and recycling. It does this through work in education and training, marketing communications and research and evaluation.
It supports businesses, schools, community groups, local authorities and public bodies to meet environmental targets and sustainability goals; communicate with customers, staff and stakeholders; save money and improve efficiency; and enhance their green credentials and raise their profile.
The Carbon Trust
The Carbon Trust was formerly funded by the UK Government but is now an independent non-profit. Its mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon technologies. Its website is a useful source of practical publications and downloadable resources, and it regularly holds free educational workshops.
Green Alliance
Green Alliance is an influential environmental think tank working to ensure UK political leaders deliver ambitious solutions to global environmental issues.
It understands political decision-making and have helped to change policy, bringing climate change and environmental issues into the mainstream.
It works closely with partners in the third sector, business and other spheres to advocate proposals influential on all sides of the political spectrum. Its activities include research, advocacy and convening high-profile events with senior politicians and key influencers. It regularly publishes informative and insightful reports and analysis which are freely available from its website.
Global Action Plan
Global Action Plan is the UK’s leading environmental behaviour change charity and, since 1993, has helped businesses, schools and communities reduce their impact on the environment. It achieves environmental and financial savings in the UK by empowering people to take action on energy, waste, water and travel.
It is the only UK charity whose programmes are endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme.
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is an independent charity with the aim of inspiring a generation to re-think, re-design & build a positive future through the vision of a circular economy.
Its key objectives are to provide a coherent framework for change - the vision of a circular economy; to inspire a generation to develop the knowledge and perspective to build a restorative future; and to engage with industry and showcase what is possible and challenge the status quo. International Labour Organisation
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is devoted to promoting social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights, pursuing its founding mission that labour peace is essential to prosperity. Today, the ILO helps advance the creation of decent work and the economic and working conditions that give working people and business people a stake in lasting peace, prosperity and progress. Its tripartite structure provides a unique platform for promoting decent work for all women and men . Its main aims are to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
It's international labour standards are widely referenced as best practice in workers' rights.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. It works with governments to understand what drives economic, social and environmental change and sets international standards on a wide range of things, from agriculture and tax to the safety of chemicals.
The OECD has published a Guide for Multinational Enterprises that is widely referenced as a source of good practice on responsible business conduct in a global context.
